Eligibility Criteria

The L’Oréal Sustainability Challenge 2024 is open to all full-time undergraduate and postgraduate students from India. Below are the eligibility guidelines:

• Eligible Students: Final and pre-final year undergraduate and postgraduate students from any discipline (Batch 2025 & 2026).
• Team Composition:
  • Teams must consist of exactly 3 members.
  • Members can be from different specializations and colleges.
  • Cross-year teams are not allowed (e.g., 2nd-year and 3rd-year students cannot form a team).
  • A student cannot be part of more than one team.
• Email IDs: Each member must register with their official college email ID (or personal email if not provided).
• Team Modification: Teams cannot modify their composition post-registration.
• Eligibility Decisions: All decisions regarding eligibility will be at the discretion of L’Oréal and Unstop.

Competition Structure: Four-Tier Challenge

1. Treasure Hunt

• Mandatory Round: All teams must attempt the treasure hunt.
• Attempt by Team Leader: Only the team leader can attempt the treasure hunt.

2. Online Aptitude Assessment

• Shortlisted Teams: After the treasure hunt, shortlisted teams will answer a set of aptitude questions within 20 minutes.
• Scoring: Based on accuracy, speed, and start time.
• Team Score: Calculated based on the average score of all team members.

3. Executive Summary Submission

• Pillar Selection: Choose one of the three pillars: People, Planet, or Product.
• Case Study: Teams will receive a case study and submit a solution in 3 slides + a 2-minute video.
• Slide Format: PDF (3 slides don’t include title or thank you slides).
• Video Format: MP4 (2-minute duration).

4. Virtual Presentation & Grand Finale

• The top 20 teams will pitch their ideas to L’Oréal leaders virtually.
• Finalists will attend mentorship sessions with L’Oréal experts.
• Top 6 teams will present their ideas to the Grand Jury in the final round.
